SERPENTINE BELT SERVICE PROCEDURES FOR 1991 Chrysler Dynasty AUTOMOBILES

Serpentine Drive Belt, Replace -> Air Conditioning -> Alternator -> Power Steering
Vehicle: 1991 Chrysler Dynasty 2.5 L4 GAS
Alternator
- Disconnect battery ground cable from battery.
- Loosen alternator pivot bolt and lock nut.
- Loosen alternator adjustment bolt to relieve belt tension.
- Remove alternator drive belt.
- Clean and inspect belt surfaces of all pulleys.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque pulley bolt to 40 ft. lbs.
Air Conditioning
- Loosen idler pulley lock bolt.
- Loosen idler pulley adjustment bolt to relieve belt tension.
