Refer to Fig. . for connector terminal identification.
- Disconnect 2P (W-6) connector from blower motor.
- Turn ignition switch to the On position and the fan switch to the Hi position.
- Check if battery voltage is present between chassis side connector terminal W6-1 and W6-2.
- If voltage is present, replace blower motor.
- If voltage is not present, check for battery voltage between chassis side connector terminal W6-1 and ground.

- Disconnect driver's air bag yellow two-pin connector at steering column base.

- Remove glove box and instrument panel lower reinforcement.
- Remove resistor connector, then the resistor.
- Reverse procedure to install.
AMIGO & PICKUP
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove trim panels and ducts as needed to gain access to duct between heater and blower units.
- Disconnect wiring harness connector to resistor.
- Remove screws securing resistor, then remove resistor from heater unit.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge A/C system.
- Remove front end upper panel.
- Disconnect triple-pressure switch and condenser fan electrical connectors.
- Disconnect refrigerant line connector and refrigerant outlet line.
- Move radiator back, then pull upward on condenser to remove.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque condenser attaching bolts to 4 ft. lbs.
- Torque refrigerant outlet line to 11 ft. lbs.
- Torque refrigerant line connector to 9 ft. lbs.
