Lexus -> Component Replacement & Adjustment -> WATER PUMP, REPLACE -> ES250 & ES300 -> LS400 & SC400 -> SC300

Refer to Fig. . when replacing the water pump.
- Drain coolant, then disconnect lower radiator hose from water inlet pipe.
- Disconnect timing belt from water pump pulley. Refer to "MOTOR's Imported Car Repair Manual" for procedure.
- Remove water inlet pipe, then the water inlet and thermostat.
- Remove water pump.
- Reverse procedure to install.
SC300
Refer to Fig. , when replacing the water pump.
- Drain coolant.
- Remove water pump pulley and radiator.
- Remove timing belt. Refer to "MOTOR's Imported Car... "

- Refer to the "Instrument Panel, Replace" to remove parts necessary to gain access to blower motor assembly.
- Remove blower motor attaching screws, then disconnect electrical connector.
- Remove blower motor from heater unit.
- Reverse procedure to install.
ES300
- Remove instrument lower panel and undercover No. 2.
- Remove electrical connector bracket and disconnect connector.
- Remove three mounting screws and blower motor.
- Reverse procedure to install.
