Disassemble
- Disassemble compressor in numbered sequence shown in Fig. , noting the following:
- Remove crankshaft nut by installing two six millimeter bolts by one inch long into holes of armature plate. Hold bolts using two box-end wrenches to prevent crankshaft from turning, then remove crankshaft nut and armature plate.
- Using a screwdriver or snap-ring pliers, remove seal plate from front housing.
- Using a brass bar, remove bearing from front housing.
- Inspect all surfaces for scoring, cracks or deformation.
