- Check that pad thickness is no less than .039 inch. Replace pads if thinner.
- Raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel.
- Remove caliper pin on subpin side, Figs. and .
- Pivot caliper up and support, leaving brake hose connected.
- Remove brake pads, anti-squeal shim(s) and 4 support plates.
- Reverse procedure to install.
CALIPER, REPLACE
- Raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel.
- Disconnect brake hose and use suitable container to catch brake fluid.
- Remove bracket from caliper.
