On 1993 models, when replacing compressor drain old and new units. Add oil to new compressor equal to 2.7 ozs. minus amount drained from old unit.
When replacing other system components add the following amount of new oil: evaporator, 1.0 oz.; condenser, .3 oz.; receiver/drier, .3 oz.; line, .3 oz.
On 1994-95 models, when replacing compressor drain old and new units. Add oil to new compressor equal to 4.7 ozs. minus amount drained from old unit, but do not add more than 1.7 ozs. of oil.

Import Compressor Service -> Bosch Compressor -> SHAFT SEAL, REPLACE -> EXCEPT PORSCHE 928 -> PORSCHE 928

- Remove compressor clutch plate as previously described, then remove the key and circlip.
- Remove thrust washer using tool No. 64-5-030, or equivalent.
- Install tool No. 64-5-040, or equivalent, into compressor. Rotate tool clockwise to free seal, then remove tool.
- Remove seal using a plastic needle.
- Reverse procedure to install. Note the following:
- Apply refrigerant oil to new seal prior to installation.
- Install seal using removal tool so that straight surfaces on tool engage openings in compressor shaf...
