- Remove map light (2 screws).
- Remove screws connecting faceplate to base panel (5 screws under dash brow and 1 screw below control).
- Place column shift lever in 1 position.
- Pull top of faceplate rearward to clear brow. Disengage attaching clips at bottom and remove faceplate.
- Disconnect wires from four wheel drive indicator, if equipped.
- Remove control panel attaching screws.
- Pull control outward.
- Disconnect electrical connections and control cables.
- Remove control unit.

- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel.
- Remove caliper as outlined under "Caliper Service." It is not necessary to disconnect brake line from caliper, but caliper must be supported at all times to prevent brake line damage.
- Remove grease cap, cotter pin, nut lock, hub nut, thrust washer and outer wheel bearing, then lift rotor off spindle.

The following procedure is described for a propeller shaft equipped with only a cardan joint in the tube yoke. If the propeller shaft is equipped with a companion yoke, simply repeat the following steps to remove the cardan joint from the companion yoke after removing the cardan joint from the tube yoke.
