- Disconnect battery ground cable and recover A/C system.
- Remove radiator grille.
- Remove engine hood front end stay and hood lock. Mark position of hood lock for assembly.
- Disconnect pressure switch electrical connector.
- Disconnect condenser inlet and outlet lines from condenser, then plug lines and ports to avoid system contamination.
- Remove condenser with care to prevent damage to radiator fins.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

THERMO SWITCH TEST
- Remove thermo switch from radiator.
- Place temperature sensing portion of thermo switch in a container of water.
- Connect ohmmeter onto thermo switch terminals.
- Heat water.
- When the temperature of the water reaches approximately 180-190°F, continuity should exist between thermo switch terminals.
- Allow temperature of the water to drop to between 167-178°F. No continuity should exist in this range.
- If thermo switch does not operate as specified, replace thermo switch.

- Place steering wheel in straight-ahead position.
- Ensure ignition switch is in Off position.
- Connect passenger's air bag two-pin connector, then install glove box assembly.
- Connect driver's air bag two-pin connector at steering column base.
- Install SRS fuse SRS1 to instrument panel lefthand lower fuse block.
- Turn ignition on. Ensure air bag warning lamp flashes seven times, then goes off.
