Evaporator icing occurs when the evaporator core becomes too cold, and freezes the moisture in the air flowing past it. This condition will reduce A/C performance and higher A/C discharge temperatures. The problem usually arises when the A/C is run continuously with the blower on low speed during a long drive in high humidity.

- Raise and support front of vehicle and remove wheel.
- Remove brake hose lock spring if necessary and lower pin bolt Figs. through , then pivot caliper body upwards.
- Remove pad retainers, inner and outer shims and the pads.
- Install new inner pad and pivot caliper downward.
- Compress piston(s) by inserting bar through caliper opening and prying against torque member.
- Pivot caliper upwards, then install outer pad, inner and outer shims and pad retainers.
- Position caliper body and install lower pin.

Fuel System Pressure Relief
- On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel.
- On 1990-96 300ZX, disconnect the fuel pump relay, located behind the lefthand side kick panel.
- On all models, start and run the engine until it stalls.
- After the engine stalls, crank two or three times to ensure all fuel pressure is relieved.
- On all models except 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then install the fuel pump fuse.
- On 1990-96 300ZX, turn the ignition Off, then connect the fuel pump relay.
