- Remove radiator reservoir tank, then the air intake tube.
- Remove A/C hose stay, then the upper radiator mounting bracket.
- Disconnect condenser and discharge pipes from condenser and cap open fittings to prevent dirt or moisture from entering system.

- Connect battery power to No. 1 terminal of mode control motor and connect ground to No. 2 terminal, Fig. .
- Mode control motor should run and stop at Vent. If it does not, reverse connections.
- Control motor should run and stop at Def. If motor does not run, remove it and check linkage and doors for smooth movement. If linkage and doors move smoothly, replace mode control motor.
