- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove propeller shaft assembly.
- Remove hose straps.
- Lift out circlip.
- Pull off constant velocity joint complete with dust cover.
- Press knurled head bolts and washers out of constant velocity joint.
- Press off dust cover.
Assembly
- Pack new constant velocity joint with 60 grams of grease (HWB). Do not pack inner race with cage since the balls would fall out.

The propeller shaft is adapted to pertinent requirements in reverence to the transmission version, power flow and vibration behavior, so that removal and installation will differ and depend on the version. Only tighten nuts or bolts on flange end whenever possible to avoid tension in joint disc.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove exhaust assembly.

- On models with front joint disc, unscrew propeller shaft on transmission.
