- Remove upper battery hold-down bracket.
- Disconnect brake lines from unit, then cap ends to prevent entry of foreign material.

Measure the brake pedal height after making sure the pedal is fully released by the pedal return spring. Measure pedal height as shown in Fig. , dimension " L." Measurement should be 6.22 inches. If measurement is not as specified, proceed as follows:
- Loosen the stop lamp switch.
- Loosen locknut on the pushrod.
- Adjust the pushrod to the specified pedal height.
- Tighten locknut.
