Anti-lock Brakes -> Description
Vehicle: 1994 Jaguar XJ12 6.0 V12 GAS
The anti-lock braking system eliminates wheel lock by controlling hydraulic pressure applied to the brake calipers. This system, which is assisted by the power hydraulic system, also reduces tire wear and improves vehicle stability during severe braking conditions. Modulation of hydraulic pressure is achieved by a modulator containing three solenoid actuated valves; one valve in each hydraulic line to front calipers and one in a common hydraulic ...

Hydraulic Brake Systems -> Description
Vehicle: 1994 Jaguar XJ12 6.0 V12 GAS
The hydraulic brake system consists of the following main components: Pedal box, servo unit, tandem master cylinder, remote fluid reservoir, four disc brake assemblies and two parking brake calipers.
The above components provide the vehicle with a dual braking system in which front and rear caliper assemblies are totally independent of each other. In the event of a brake line failure, or partial loss of fluid, one pair of brake calipers will remain operative.
When the brake pedal is depressed, the servo unit, which is attached to the master cylinder, transfers increased pedal pressure...
