The propeller shaft is adapted to pertinent requirements in reverence to transmission version, power flow and vibration behavior, so that removal and installation will differ and depend on version.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove exhaust assembly.
- Unscrew heat shield.
- With front joint disc, unscrew propeller shaft on transmission.
- With front universal joint, support transmission with a suitable tool.
- Unscrew transmission suspension.
- Unscrew universal joint on transmission.

Disassemble
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove propeller shaft assembly.
- Remove hose straps.
- Lift out circlip.
- Pull off constant velocity joint complete with dust cover.
- Press knurled head bolts and washers out of constant velocity joint.
- Press off dust cover.
Assemble
- Pack new constant velocity joint with 60 grams of grease (HWB).
