- Align master cylinder to brake booster and install retaining nuts, torque retaining nuts to 9.4 ft. lbs.

- Remove 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Mark relationship of wheel to hub and remove tire/wheel assembly.
- Position "C" clamp around outer pad and caliper. Tighten "C" clamp until caliper piston bottoms in bore.
- Remove mounting bolts and inspect bolts and sleeves for corrosion.
- Remove caliper and suspend with wire to avoid damage to rubber brake line.
- Remove inner/outer pads and retainer spring.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque mounting bolts to 37 ft. lbs.

These components are non-serviceable and must be replaced as a unit, do not try to disassemble components.

- Disconnect electrical connectors from unit.
- Remove upper battery hold-down bracket.
- Disconnect brake lines from unit, then cap ends to prevent entry of foreign material.
- Disconnect hydraulic unit ground lead, then remove front retaining bracket.
