A/C Compressor Noise
Some models may experience A/C compressor noise. To determine the cause of this condition, check the compressor drive belt tension and compressor mounting. Ensure A/C hoses are not in contact with other components. Ensure refrigerant charge weight is correct. Ensure compressor is filled to correct level with oil. A maximum of 4 oz. of oil can be added to the compressor without discharging the refrigerant. Low or excessive charge weight or a low compressor oil level will cause compressor noise. Check for clutch drag or bearing noise.
