- Remove clutch hub retaining nut using spanner wrench tool No. T81P-19623-MH, or equivalent. Connect field coil to 12V source to energize coil engaging clutch.
- On Capri models, remove pressure plate using pressure plate remover tool No. T88C-19623-A, or equivalent, Fig. .
- On all models, remove clutch hub and shims from compressor shaft using hub remover tool No. T80L-19703-B, or equivalent, Fig. .
- Remove clutch pulley snap ring.

Except for manifold hose O-rings and front shaft seal this compressor is not serviceable and must be replaced as an assembly.
- Remove pressure plate, pulley and field coil.
- Remove felt seal, then the snap ring.
- Remove key from shaft using shaft key remover tool No. T81P-19623-NH, or equivalent, Fig. .
- Remove thrust plate using compressor shaft seal seat remover tool No. T87P-19623-BR, or equivalent. Insert tool into seal bore and against seal thrust plate, then push holder ring downward and pull up on T-handle.
