MIATA & MX-3

  • Drain engine coolant from radiator assembly.
  • Disconnect radiator hose from water pipe and thermostat housing assembly, located at the rear of the engine, above the transaxle.
  • Disconnect two heater hoses from the rear of the water pipe and thermostat housing, then remove two bolts retaining the assembly to the engine block.
  • Remove two thermostat housing cover retaining bolts, then thermostat.
  • Clean gasket material from mating surfaces.
  • Reverse procedure to install.
