- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove wheels and brake pads.
- Disconnect brake hydraulic line. Using a suitable device, depress and hold brake pedal to restrict flow of brake fluid from reservoir.
- Remove caliper retaining bolts, caliper, and metal shield.
- Loosen bleeder valve and carefully blow hydraulic fluid out of caliper. Recommended air pressure for fluid removal is 14 psi.
- Position caliper in a soft jaw vise, and remove clamping ring and dust boot.
- Depress one caliper piston with tool No. 83, or equivalent, and position a wood block approximately1/3 inches thick between too...

Automatic Transmission
- Remove engine guard and underside rear panel.
- Remove air distributor pipe on left and right sides of transmission.
- Loosen transmission mounting bolts and lower approximately .4 inch.
- Disconnect solenoid electrical connectors.
- Remove solenoid wire clamp and tie wrap from starter, then the oil pipe from body.
- Remove starter bolts and ground strap.
- Lift starter from support and rotate starter pinion toward engine oil filter.
- Rotate starter 1/2 turn until solenoid faces transmission, then carefully remove starter.

The cabin air filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles. The filter should be replaced more often if air flow is less than normal.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the two heater/AC system cover retaining screws, then the cover.
- Remove the central electrical system attaching bolts.
- Remove the wiring harness cover.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower housing cover, then position central electrical system out of way.
- Pull the connector off the blower final stage.

The Check Engine lamp will be illuminated when the ignition switch is in the on position with engine not running. When the engine is started, the lamp should go out. If the lamp remains lit, a diagnostic trouble code has been stored by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). After diagnosis and repair are complete, place ignition switch in on position without starting engine, then depress accelerator pedal fully for more than 11 seconds. ECU memory should be cleared and the Check Engine lamp should be reset.
