- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove engine cooling fan using pulley holding tool No. 11 5 030, or equivalent. Fan nut has lefthand thread.
- Remove engine splash guard and heat shields.
- Drain coolant into suitable container.
- Remove mounting bolts and upper air duct.
- Disconnect coolant level sender electrical connector.
