- Remove left side air cleaner element.
- Cut nylon ties securing fan motor wiring harness to main harness, then disconnect leads from fan motor.
- Disconnect motor ground wire from stud.
- Cut nylon tie securing fan motor harness to mounting frame.
- Remove fan motor mounting frame to fan cowl mounting bolts.
- Remove motor and frame from vehicle, then separate motor and frame assembly.
- Remove fan blade.
- Reverse procedure to install.

Prior to service disconnect battery ground cable and isolate as required.
Product Compatibility
Before adding or replacing engine coolant, ensure product compatibility with the system being serviced. If using orange silicate-free coolant, do not mix with green silicated coolant, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, engine coolant will require change sooner at 30,000 miles or 24 months.

Cooling Fan Fuse Failure
Some models may experience repeated cooling fan fuse failure. This may be caused by the single pressure switch. Models with VIN code 761570 and after no longer use this switch. A shorting plug is now used. Refer to the following steps for diagnosis and repair.
- If engine is hot, disconnect radiator thermostatic switch.
- Disconnect single pressure switch at white 2-way connector.
