- Remove caliper attaching bolts, then the caliper, leaving brake hose attached, and position caliper out of way.
- Remove disc plate attaching screws and the disc plate, Fig. . If disc plate is difficult to remove, remove dust cap, insert screwdriver into hole and turn adjuster to increase shoe clearance.
- Remove upper and lower return springs, then the front and rear hold pins.

The audio system's anti-theft feature renders the system inoperable after power to the audio unit has been interrupted. Obtaining the anti-theft security code prior to performing repairs will ensure restoration of audio system operation in case the vehicle battery is disconnected or power to the audio unit is otherwise lost during repairs.
