- Reverse procedure to install.

- Remove grille and upper seal board, then disconnect radiator fan motor connector.
- Remove fan blade, motor and cowling as an assembly, then separate motor from blade and cowling.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque fan blade mounting nut to 38-46 inch lbs.

Before adding or replacing engine coolant, ensure product compatibility with the system being serviced. If using orange silicate-free coolant, do not mix with green silicated coolant, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, engine coolant will require change sooner at 30,000 miles or 24 months.

- Remove instrument panel components in order shown in Fig. .
- Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
- Disconnect heater hoses from heater unit inlet and outlet tubes, Fig. . Plug hoses to prevent coolant leakage.
- Remove heater unit attaching bolts, then the heater unit.
- Remove heater core cover from heater unit then slide heater core from unit, Fig. .
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Drain engine coolant into suitable container, then remove instrument panel as described under "Blower Motor, Replace." ...

- Install manifold gauge set, Fig. .
- Place dry-bulb thermometer in center ventilator outlet.
- Place wet and dry-bulb thermometers at blower inlet.
- Open all doors, then run engine at a constant 1500 RPM.
- Push A/C Auto switch to On position.
- Set temperature to 65° F.
- Operate A/C system until output temperature stabilizes. Ensure reading on pressure gauge is 160-240 psi.
