- Clean any dirt from around reservoir cap. Remove cap, then drain brake fluid into appropriate container.
- Remove reservoir connector screw, Fig. , then the reservoir.
- Disconnect brake lines from master cylinder. Do not allow brake fluid to get on painted surfaces.
- Remove master cylinder attaching bolts, then the master cylinder.
- Adjust clearance of booster piston rod to master cylinder piston as follows:

- Remove master cylinder from booster as outlined under " Master Cylinder, Replace," in "Hydraulic Brakes".
- Disconnect pushrod clevis from brake pedal arm.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from booster.
- Remove booster attaching nuts, then the booster assembly.
- Reverse procedure to install, then ensure brake pedal height and pedal travel is correct as outlined under "Brake Pedal Height, Adjust," and "Brake Pedal Travel Check" in "Hydraulic Brakes" .
