Remove defective components. Add the proper amount of oil to each replacement component. Most recovery/recycling equipment will measure the amount of oil being removed. - Turn engine off, remove battery and bracket, then recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect clutch lead wire from wiring harness.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines at compressor, capping all openings.
- On models with 1MZ-FE engine, remove alternator.
- On all models, loosen compressor drive belt, then remove compressor mounting bolts and the compressor.
- Reverse procedure to install, then recover and recharge system and check for leaks.
