- Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assemblies.
- Remove banjo bolt and disconnect brake line. Secure hose in raised position.
- Remove pin bolt and caliper, Figs. through .
- Remove pad spring.
- Position suitable block of wood or shop rag in caliper opposite piston.
- Remove piston by applying compressed air into fluid inlet port.
- Remove piston boot and seal.
Assemble & Installation
- Clean caliper bore and piston with brake fluid, then inspect for excessive wear or damage.
- Apply suitable grease and install new piston seal in cylinder groove.

- Loosen locknut and back brake light switch off until it breaks contact with brake pedal.
- Loosen pushrod locknut, then turn pushrod in or out until to adjust pedal height to specifications, Fig. .
- Turn in brake light switch until plunger is fully depressed. Back switch off 1/4 turn and tighten locknut.
- With engine stopped, ensure brake pedal freeplay is within specifications, Fig. .
- Ensure brake lamps go out with brake pedal released.
