- Connect suitable pressure gauge or reclaim/recycle equipment to discharge side of compressor, then attach clamp-on thermocouple part No. P.S.E. 66-324-0014, 80PK-1A or equivalent, to liquid line as shown in Fig. It must be attached as close to condenser as possible to read liquid line temperature.
- With transaxle in Park and engine idling at 700 RPM, set air conditioning controls as follows:

- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect and cap refrigerant lines at condenser.
- Remove grille retainers and upper radiator support crossmember, then remove condenser lines. For quick disconnect couplings, use tool No. 7193, or equivalent.
- Remove electric fan module mounts, condenser line support bracket and condenser mounting bolts, then lift condenser out of vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- On models equipped with 3.5L engine, remove engine air inlet tube and air distribution duct.
- On all models, using quick connector tool No. 7193, or equivalent, remove both A/C lines from expansion valve.
- Remove expansion valve mounting bolts, then the valve and gasket.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting bolts to 8-9 ft. lbs.
