- Holding clutch plate with a suitable spanner wrench, Figs. and , remove clutch hub retaining nut or bolt, Figs. and .
- On models where clutch plate is retained with a nut, remove clutch hub and shims from compressor shaft using hub remover tool No. T80L-19703-B, or equivalent, Fig. .
- On models where clutch plate is retained by a bolt, lift assembly and shims from compressor. If necessary, thread a suitable bolt into clutch plate hub to break hub free of shaft, Fig. . ...

- Install radio remover tool No. T87P-19061-A, or equivalent, into radio face plate or compact disc player face plate. Push tools in approximately one inch to release retaining clips.
- Apply slight spreading force on tools and pull radio chassis only.
- Disconnect electrical connectors from radio and compact disc player.
- Disconnect dash dimmer switch wiring connector.
- Remove two retaining screws and A/C control from instrument panel, then disconnect A/C control electrical connector, Fig. .

Disconnect negative battery cable for a minimum of five minutes. After clearing memory, it is required to drive vehicle a minimum of 10 miles to allow PCM time to relearn operating strategy.

- Working from inside vehicle, remove push pins and upper footwell trim panel from passenger side.
- Disconnect blower motor wire harness electrical connector.
- Carefully lift retaining lug on A/C blower motor flange, Fig. , and rotate blower motor counterclockwise approximately 30° to disengage it from A/C evaporator housing.
- Pull blower motor out of A/C evaporator housing.
- Reverse procedure to install. After inserting blower motor into A/C evaporator housing, turn clockwise until retaining lug engages.
