Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Using STAR Tester II

• Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
• Locate ABS diagnostic terminal on engine compartment power distribution panel.
• Connect SUPER STAR II Tester connector to ABS diagnostic connector, Fig. .
• Turn on SUPER STAR II tester and latch button down in TEST position. Ensure tester is in slow mode.
• Turn ignition switch to RUN (engine OFF). If any DTCs have been detected, each diagnostic trouble code will be flashed out once and only once after entering the diagnostic mode.
• If no DTCs are stored, a DTC 12 will be output. After all DTCs...

• Disconnect master cylinder fluid level sensor electrical connectors.
• Disconnect brake tubes, then cap tubes to prevent entry of contaminants.
• Remove master cylinder attaching nuts, then the master cylinder.
• Reverse procedure to install. After installation is complete, fill master cylinder with manufacturer recommended brake fluid and bleed brakes.

• Apply parking brake control fully with 100 lbs. foot pedal effort, then release brake control.
• Place transmission in Neutral, then raise and support vehicle.
