Component Replacement & Adjustment -> Metro & Prizm -> Heater Core, Replace -> Metro -> Prizm

Metro
- Remove dash panel as outlined under "Dash Panel, Replace"
- Drain coolant into suitable container.
- Remove heater core clamps and hoses, through engine compartment.
- Remove blower case to heater case air duct.
- Remove heater case attaching nuts and bolts, Fig. . then remove case.
- Remove heater case clip and two attaching screws, then separate case halves, Fig. .
- Remove heater core from case.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque heater case attaching nuts and bolts to 89 inch lbs.

If the cooling fan continues to run with the ignition switch in the Off position after engine coolant temperature lowers, replace cooling fan relay.
