- Recover refrigerant from system.
- Remove compressor outlet port retaining plate securing bolt, then disconnect the plate.
- Disconnect compressor hose, then remove and discard O-ring seal. Plug compressor outlet port.
- Remove compressor pivot bolt securing nut, then carefully separate muffler from compressor. Plug muffler ports and fit a blanking plate to compressor and tighten.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Loosen compressor drive belt adjuster rod and adjuster plate securing nuts and bolts.
