- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Remove evaporator core as outlined under "Evaporator Core."
- Disconnect equalizer line from A/C evaporator core outlet fitting.
- Disconnect A/C evaporator expansion valve at A/C evaporator core outlet fitting and A/C evaporator case inlet fitting. Discard O-ring at each fitting.
- Remove A/C evaporator expansion valve.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Apply clean refrigerant oil to new O-rings.

A/C Condenser Cooling Fan

Refer to Fig. for A/C condenser cooling fan terminal identification.
- Turn ignition Off, then disconnect A/C condenser cooling fan connector.
- Apply 12 volts to terminal three on fan, then ground terminal two. A/C condenser cooling fan should operate at low speed.
- Apply 12 volts to terminal one on fan, then ground terminal two. Fan should operate at high speed.
- If fan operates properly at both speeds, return to diagnostic tests. If fan does not operate properly, replace fan.
