The suction type electric cooling fan is located behind the radiator. The fan is a two-speed unit. The engine temperature and A/C system pressure determine at which speed the fan will run.
The fan is controlled electronically by a relay operated by the Multi-Port Fuel Injection (MFI)/Distributor Ignition (DI) system control module. The fan is self-starting and may operate even when the ignition is switched off.
