- Ensure engine is cool, then drain engine coolant.
- Snap open clamp and disconnect heater valve cable from heater valve arm, then disconnect heater hoses from heater unit. Drain coolant from hoses.
- Remove heater unit nut, using care not to damage or bend fuel pipes, brake pipes, etc.
