Less Attached Wheel Bearing Housing
- Loosen wheel bolts.
- Remove wheel hub to axle shaft bolt.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove washer and wheel.
- Remove bolts attaching axle shaft to drive flange, then disconnect lower ball joint.
- Swing wheel bearing housing outward and remove axle shaft.
- Reverse procedure to install.
- Torque wheel lug nuts to 81 ft. lbs.
- Torque axle nut to 195 ft. lbs.
- Torque axle shaft to differential flange bolts 33 ft. lbs. (M8) or 55 ft. lbs. (M10).
