Alternator, Replace
Vehicle: 1998 BMW 323IC 2.5 L6 GAS

Read out stored fault messages with a suitable scan tool.
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect and cover battery ground terminal.
Remove suction filter housing.
Remove fan clutch.
Remove alternator drive belt.
Drain supply tank for power steering pump if necessary, remove with holder and place to one side. Lines on supply tank for power steering pump remain connected.
Remove air hose.
Take off cap on connections.
Disconnect alternator connector.
Remove nut and disconnect batt...
