- Remove holder, mounting bolts and pipes with pressure plate.

- Remove intake manifold as described in appropriate engine section.
- Disconnect starter electrical connectors.
- Remove starter motor brace nuts and mounting bolts.
- Remove support mounting nut and starter motor.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following.
- Install new O-ring seals on intake manifold.
- Torque support to starter to 44 inch lbs.
- Torque support to crankcase to 35 ft. lbs.
- Torque starter motor mounting bolts to 35 ft. lbs.
- Torque M5 electrical leads to 49 inch lbs., M6 to 58 inch lbs. and M8 to 11 ft. lbs.

- Obtain the radio anti-theft code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- On all models except convertible, disengage the two air nozzles (located above the glove compartment) at the top. Position the nozzles straight ahead, then remove the nozzles.
- On all models, remove the glove compartment retaining screws located at each side. On convertible models, the upper two screws are accessed through the air nozzle opening.
