  • Connect jumper wire to positive side of fan motor connector.
  • Fan should operate properly; if not, replace fan motor.
  • If fan is noticeably overheated, system voltage may be too high. Inspect charging system as necessary.

  • Place ignition switch in Lock position.
  • Disconnect and isolate battery ground cable.
  • Wait at least two minutes after disconnecting battery ground cable before doing any further work on vehicle. The air bag system is designed to retain enough voltage to deploy air bags for a short time even after battery has been disconnected.

A recirculation door actuator is only used on models equipped with A/C.

  • Remove kick cover from heater and A/C housing, then disconnect vacuum harness connector.
  • Insert a suitable wide flat blade tool into latch hole on heater and A/C housing actuator mount to release.
  • Pull firmly outward on actuator to remove, then position actuator as required to disengage from hole.
  • Remove actuator from vehicle.
  • Reverse procedure to install.
