- Remove lower lockpin, Figs. and , and lift caliper body upward, then support caliper with wire. Lockpin is coated with special grease. Use caution not to remove grease and ensure no dirt adheres to pin.
- Remove inner shim(s), anti-squeak shim and pad assemblies from support mounting.
- Remove pad clips.
- Measure hub torque with pad removed to aid in measuring brake drag torque after pad installation, Fig. .
