System Operation
The Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) unit has a built-in microcomputer which processes information sent from various sensors needed for air conditioner operation. The front air mix door motor, mode door motor, front intake door motor, front blower motor and compressor are then controlled.

Import Compressor Service -> Ford (Halla) Compressor -> Shaft Seal -> Assemble -> Disassemble

- Remove clutch hub from compressor.
- Remove shaft seal from top of compressor with pick type tool.
- Remove shaft seat retaining snap ring from compressor shaft with snap ring remover tool.
- Position shaft seal remover tool over compressor shaft and push tool into nose of compressor and down against shaft seal. Engage end of tool with internal diameter of shaft seal. While holding hex part of tool, turn tool handle clockwise to expand tool tip inside seal inner radius. Then pull shaft seal from compressor.
