Radio and cassette player are equipped with an electronic four-digit anti-theft lock. This four-digit code is programmed at manufacturing and cannot be changed. If the battery is disconnected for more than three minutes, if unit is removed or if otherwise cut off from power, the four-digit code must be entered with the quick-selection buttons as follows:

  • Drain brake fluid from fluid reservoir.
  • Disconnect hydraulic lines from cylinder.
  • Temporarily plug these lines to avoid loss of fluid.
  • Disconnect brake/warning switch connector on filler cap.
  • Remove the two nuts connecting cylinder to brake booster, then the master cylinder.
  • Reverse procedure to install, then bleed brake system.

When the brake pedal is depressed, pedal pressure assisted by power from the servo unit pushes the input rod into the master cylinder. The input rod pushes the primary plunger up the bore which closes the cutoff port to the fluid reservoir. This creates pressure ahead of the primary plunger. This pressure also acts on the secondary plunger, pushing it up the bore and closing the cutoff port from the secondary chamber.
