- Using pliers, simultaneously push in brake piston and press caliper outward to release pads from rotor.
- Remove upper guide pin bolt, Fig. .
- Pivot caliper downward, then remove brake pads.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Clean surfaces between pads and carrier.
- Press pistons fully into bores, taking care not to damage dust boots.
- Ensure guide pins slide freely and dust covers are in good condition.

Fuel System Pressure Relief
- Remove fuel pump fuse from fuse box.
- Start the engine and run until it stalls.
- Turn the ignition Off.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Install the fuel pump fuse.
Removal
Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.
Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental fuel spray.
