- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Recover refrigerant from system.
- Disconnect hoses from evaporator outlet pipe and expansion valve. Cap all open lines.
- Remove four evaporator mounting bolts, then remove evaporator and expansion valve as a unit.
- Reverse procedure to install. Refer to "Precautions" for stepper motor calibration.

When the brake pedal is depressed, pedal pressure assisted by power from the servo unit pushes the input rod into the master cylinder. The input rod pushes the primary plunger up the bore which closes the cutoff port to the fluid reservoir. This creates pressure ahead of the primary plunger. This pressure also acts on the secondary plunger, pushing it up the bore and closing the cutoff port from the secondary chamber. Fuel System Pressure Relief
- Remove fuel pump fuse from fuse box.
- Start the engine and run until it stalls.
- Turn the ignition Off.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Install the fuel pump fuse.
Removal
Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.
Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental fuel spray.
