Audio Coded Anti-Theft System
Some models are equipped with an audio coded anti-theft system that will disable the radio when the battery cable is disconnected. The system can be identified by the "ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM" on the cassette tape lid. Obtain 3 digit customer code for input. Reset system after service as follows:

The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) incorporates a back up energy source that can maintain sufficient voltage to cause a deployment for up to 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned off and the battery is disconnected.
When the battery is disconnected all vehicle memory is lost, make notes of radio station settings. Never use a back-up power source from outside the vehicle.

Testing the refrigerant system for leaks is one of the most important phases of troubleshooting. - Remove fan blade attaching nut and fan.
- Remove three fan motor to assembly attaching screws and remove motor.
