- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Remove radiator fan and condenser fan.
- Remove radiator upper mountings.
- Remove radiator grille.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines at condenser, capping all openings.
- Remove condenser upper mounting, push radiator to engine side and condenser to radiator side.
- Remove condenser mounting bolts and the condenser.
- Reverse procedure to install, then recover and recharge system and check for leaks. If condenser is replaced, add 1.4 oz. of new refrigerant oil to compressor.

Some models are equipped with an audio coded anti-theft system that will disable the radio when the battery cable is disconnected. The system can be identified by the "ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM" on the cassette tape lid. Obtain 3 digit customer code for input. Reset system after service as follows:

- Remove glove compartment.
- Remove No. 2 instrument undercover.
- Remove ECM and ECU with bracket.
- Remove blower unit.
- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Disconnect liquid tube and suction tube.
- Remove thermistor from evaporator.
- Remove evaporator cover.
- Pull out evaporator.
- Reverse procedure to install, then recover and recharge system and check for leaks. If evaporator is replaced, add 1.4 oz. of new refrigerant oil to compressor.
