DRIVESHAFT, Replace -> w/Rear Constant-Velocity Joint -> With Slide
Vehicle: 1999 BMW M3 3.2 L6 GAS
w/Rear Constant-Velocity Joint
- Remove exhaust system and heat shield.
- Remove mounting bolts and exhaust suspension frame.
- Remove transmission joint disk mounting nuts.
- Remove mounting nuts and differential final drive flange constant-velocity joint.
- Remove center bearing mounting bolts. Do not allow propeller shaft to fall into joints.
- Bend propeller shaft downward at center mount and disconnect transmission or constant-velocity joint centering pin.
- Protect constant-velocity joint with suitable transport cap.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
