- Remove front disc brakes in numbered sequence as required, Fig. .
- Reverse procedure to install. Tighten bolts and wheel lug nuts to specifications.
Sedona
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove tire and wheel.
- Remove caliper mounting bolts, then position caliper aside using suitable wire or rope.
- Remove pads from caliper.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Use brake expander tool No. 0K130 430 017, or equivalent, when inserting new pads.
- Bleed brake system as outlined in "Hydraulic Brake Systems."

- Remove front passenger seat.
- Release ABS control unit electrical connector latch, then disconnect harness.
- Remove ABS control unit four mounting screws, then the unit.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque ABS control unit mounting screws to 108-144 inch lbs.
- Torque front passenger seat bolts to 32-36 ft. lbs.
Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU)
- Disconnect HCU electrical connector.
- Disconnect pump motor connector from relay.

- On Rio models, distance from top center of brake pedal to floor mat should be 6.69-6.93 inches.
- On Sephia and Spectra models, distance from top center of brake pedal to floor mat should be 7.60-7.72 inches.
- On all models, disconnect brake pedal switch electrical connector (E), Fig. .
- Loosen locknuts (B) and turn switch (A) until it does not contact pedal.
- Loosen locknuts (D) and turn rod (C) to adjust height of brake pedal.
- Tighten brake pedal switch until plunger is completely compressed, then rotate additional 1/2 turn and tighten locknuts.
