- Remove condenser as described under "Condenser, Replace."
- Disconnect lines. Plug or cap lines and openings.
- Remove mounting nut and receiver/drier.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Lubricate new O-rings with suitable refrigerant oil.
- Torque mounting nut to 61-87 inch lbs.
- Torque lines to 8-14 ft. lbs.

Inspection
- Check pulley bearing play and drag by rotating the pulley by hand, replace pulley if noisy or has excessive play/drag.
- Check stator by setting ohmmeter to X1000 ohm range and verify that there is continuity between stator connector and A/C compressor body.
Replacement
- Remove center bolt, Fig. .
- Remove pressure plate and shims.
- Using snap ring pliers or equivalent, remove snap ring.
- Using a two or three jaw puller, remove pulley from shaft. Check pulley...

- Remove control module using removal tool No. 49-UN01-050, or equivalent.
- Disconnect connectors and antenna jack.
- Reverse procedure to install.

- Remove meter hood as described under "Heater Core, Replace."
- Remove hazard warning switch.
- Disconnect air conditioning amplified connector.
- Remove control module.
- Reverse procedure to install.
