- Recover refrigerant as outlined under .
- Remove grille and lefthand headlamp.
- Remove screw holding high-pressure hose to compressor.
- On models equipped with turbocharged engine, remove hose between charge air cooler and damper housing, then the hose between charge air cooler and turbo unit.
- On all models, remove high-pressure pipe from clip on front crossmember.
- Remove screw on PAD connection at receiver-drier.
- Remove high-pressure hose.

These vehicles are equipped with one two-speed coolant fan. The fan is controlled by the DICE module. The DICE module turns the coolant fan on and off using a signal from the coolant temperature sensor.
The Dashboard Internal Central Electric (DICE) control module uses two (low and high) relays to turn on the coolant fans. When coolant temperature reaches approximately 212°F, the DICE module will turn on the coolant fan by supplying a ground circuit to the low speed fan relay.
