- Apply parking brake and count number of notches on parking brake sector. Specified number of notches should be as follows:
- Camry, Camry Solara, Corolla, Echo and Tercel sedan, 5-8 clicks.
- Celica, 4-7 clicks.
- Tercel wagons, 6-8 clicks.
- On all models, remove console box.
- Loosen locknut and turn adjustment screw until lever travel is correct.
- Tighten locknut and install console.
